 How Long Does It Take To Get CSCS Statement in Nigeria?


You just bought your first shares on Bamboo or with a Nigerian broker and you need your CSCS statement. How long does it take?


It is very fast. 



Your CSCS statement is your official proof that you own shares in Nigeria. CSCS means Central Securities Clearing System. Without it, you cannot prove the shares are yours.


How Long It Takes:


For Bamboo, Trove, and Chaka users, it takes 24 to 48 hours after you request it from support.


For traditional brokers like Meristem and CardinalStone, you can get it the same day.


If it is your first time buying shares ever, it may take up to 3 working days because they need to create your CSCS account number for you.


How To Get Your CSCS Statement:


1. Email your broker's support team

2. Use subject: Request for CSCS Statement and CSCS Number

3. Tell them your full name and the email you used to register

4. They will send the PDF statement to your email


Keep that PDF safe. That is your real share certificate.


If it is more than 3 working days and you have not received it, email them again.
